South Africa 2005: Utopia. Nowhere. Close.
House Fraser
Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa - Hugh Fraser
Johannesburg is known for the density of its artificially created suburban forests, but it is not easy to find untouched sites. This piece of urban jungle sits conveniently next to a small river and about 15 minutes from downtown Johannesburg. Nothing had been built on the site, occupied only by indigenous and exotic trees. The building was located between the large trees and none were initially removed.
