Ubuhle Buyeze, meaning 'the good is coming', is unique in the world in that it is owned and managed by children. It is conceived as an architectural intervention addressing the neglected constituency of children. Seen as a catalyst for change, the additions and enclosures are created by children, for children. The project process allows the young participants to experience personal empowerment through their input in the construction of their own environment.
