This toll plaza forms the gateway between Mozambique and South Africa and between the provinces of Mpumalanga and Gauteng. It is designed as a marker on the journey by highway through the surrounding landscape of rolling hills and agricultural fields. It is an example of progressive transport architecture for a client organisation wishing to project itself as a transparent and socially responsible organisation.
